MAMBO BROTHERS DELIVER RUMBLING NEW TRIBAL TRACK: ‘CONTROL’

Listen to Mambo Brothers – Control
A fine record to close the year in style, this production sees its rolling bassline take the helm while rising synths pan across the spectrum and a strong drumbeat positions itself at the core of the production. Using a rumble of tribal drums, the thundering breakdown of ‘Control’ seals a release which is laced with percussive rhythm and sure to make a huge impact on dancefloors across the globe.
Seeing BBC Radio 1 tastemaker Danny Howard premiere the track on his show, ‘Control’ follows a highly successful year for Ibiza-born Mambo Brothers, playing weekly to a packed room in The Club at Hï Ibiza alongside a selection of high-profile guests, including Idris Elba, The Magician, Tensnake, Doorly and Marvin Humes.
Having spent the better part of sixteen years behind the scenes of the iconic Cafe Mambo, Christian and Alan Anadon know what it takes to make a Balearic hit. Sons of Island legend and Mambo Group owner Javier Anadon, the pair were born and raised in the clubbing utopia of Ibiza, exposing themselves to the very best DJs in the world from an early age.
Having performed internationally at Mambo’s touring events in cities such as London, Miami, Monaco, Copenhagen, Lugano and Barcelona, the Mambo Brothers are always in high demand, with further appearances at Tomorrowland, Holy Ship, We Are FSTVL and at Pete Tong and Toolroom’s Miami Music Week parties. ‘Control’ follows their highly acclaimed, two-track EP on Saved Records and is poised to cement the Mambo Brothers’ status as two of the most diverse and dynamic producers around.

About Mambo Brothers:
Christian and Alan Anadon, better known as the Mambo Brothers, were born and raised in the clubbing utopia of Ibiza. As the sons of the founders of the iconic sunset spot Cafe Mambo, they were exposed to some of the best DJs in the world from an early age.
The pair started their journey DJing at Café Mambo’s sister bar Savannah, warming up for legends like Roger Sanchez and Carl Cox. Their style of music takes cues from across various house sub-genres, inspired by DJs including Pete Tong, Masters at Work, Jason Bye and more recently Jamie Jones, Kölsch, Luciano and MK. Their skill to read the dance floor took them away from home turf, DJing internationally at ‘Mambo On Tour’ events in cities such as London, Miami, Monaco, Copenhagen, Lugano and Barcelona. Their tour schedule soon began to step up, making the billing for festivals Tomorrowland, Holy Ship, We Are FSTVL and at Pete Tong and Toolroom’s Miami Music Week parties. Back home in Ibiza, the sibling’s diverse DJ style led to regular slots at Elrow and Onyx at Space, Abode at Sankeys, Avicii and Axwell & Ingrosso at Ushuaia, and regular sets at Pacha. They topped off last year’s season playing the Space Closing party, an honour for the Ibiza born and bred pair.
Last year also saw the Mambo Brothers step up with their first original productions. ‘Tempus’ debuted on Stereo Productions in February as part of a Miami 2016 compilation, before ‘Momento’ made a big impact on Toolroom Records shortly after in March. ‘Milagro’, their latest feel good track released on Nothing Else Matters last September, saw support from Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Danny Howard and Mistajam. They’re due to follow up on last year’s successes with two more tracks in the works for this summer.
This Ibiza season looks set to be a defining one for the Bros’ career to date, as they embark on a debut weekly residency in Hï Ibiza’s club room. They’ll become the first Ibiza-born DJs to head up a residency at an island super club, accompanied by a selection of high profile guests, including Idris Elba, The Magician, Tensnake, Doorly, Danny Howard and Marvin Humes. Having also played the Space closing fiesta last year, the Brothers are excited to be a part of this new chapter in Ibiza’s clubbing landscape.
