PAROOKAVILLE expands the line-up with DJ Snake, Robin Schulz, Alan Walker and Sven Väth, along with some 100 other artists
It’s only three more months now until the city gates open at PAROOKAVILLE, when Madness City at Weeze Airport will once again celebrate a weekend full of madness, love and pure happiness from July 19th through the 21st. Around 100 more artists have now been added to the line-up at Germany’s largest Electronic Music Festival, likely making it the most multifaceted electro festival of the year. There are still a few Visas (tickets) left for the last-minute partiers out there.
In the short space of only five years innumerable star DJs have already tread the boards on PAROOKAVILLE stages before, including headliner Robin Schulz. Robin’s path of worldwide success leads him back again to the Parookaville Mainstage. Other headliners will be Oliver Heldens, one of the most popular House DJs in the world, along with France’s Martin Solveig who returns to his second festival home for the fifth year in a row!
One of the most acclaimed newcomers this year is British-Norwegian House producer and DJ Alan Walker. Alan’s mega-hit “Faded” shot him straight into outer space as a global star, and meanwhile he has racked up more than 12 billion (!) plays. His live set on Sunday at Bill’s Factory is already the source of ecstatic anticipation for thousands of Parookaville citizens-in-waiting.
France’s DJ Snake returns again as a headliner since his last celebrated performance back in 2017. In the same year he was the first-ever artist to perform on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. His songs have earned him no less than 144 Platinum awards, alone 55 of them for “Lean On” with Major Lazer and MØ. DJ Snake will perform this year on the Mainstage at the Grand Festival Closing on Sunday evening. And Techno Mastermind Sven Väth also returns to PAROOKAVILLE, hosting “Cocoon” on Saturday at the Cloud Factory where he’ll be spinning vinyl.
A festival line-up as diverse as the city itself
Far more than 300 artists on over 10 stages make PAROOKAVILLE the capital city of Electronic Music this July. For three days the city’s citizens can check out and enjoy every facet of the genre from Techno to Future House, Big Room to Hardstyle, all embedded in our unique festival city.
And the Sunday is set to bring a genuine “world premiere“: Following the rapturous reception at their debut in 2018, the Cologne-based cult Carnival brass combo Querbeat is not simply returning for a second time. No, these brass nutcases are coming back for an unprecedented appearance of the kind only conceivable at PAROOKAVILLE, where they will battle musically onstage with Germany’s most brutal, party-proven Hip-Hop duo, the 257ers!
Other PAROOKAVILE highlights will definitely include the gigs by Tchami vs. Malaa, the uncrowned kings of Bass House, Carnage, the US-based Dubstep impresario, along with the Friday Grand Festival Opening by Dutch superstar Fedde Le Grand on the Mainstage. And pumping Tech-House beats and golden bird masks are the trademark of Claptone, who performs on Sunday at Power Plant.
Having graced the Parookaville stages in 2016 and 2017, this year will see the return of the Australian twin sisters Nervo for another of their celebrated performances on the Mainstage. The Hardstyle faction can again look forward to prominent Dutch proponents with Wildstylez, Sub Zero Project and Radical Redemption. Still new to the business but with a great chance to have the top summer hit of 2019 is The Prince Karma with the irresistible Balkan “Later Bitches” that’s in heavier-than-heavy rotation on every club playlist at the moment.
Clueso x Bariş Aladağ (DJ Set) will return to PAROOKAVILLE to pursue their labour of love. United in Tech-House, the pop star and the filmmaker will reprise their acclaimed set at last year’s Phil’s Licks from Phil Fuldner on Sunday at the Power Plant.
Bernd Dicks, co-organiser at Parookaville GmbH and chief talent booker proclaims, “We’re so mega-proud of this diverse line-up. This latest roster of artists, with the performance by mega-star DJ Snake right through to the one-of-a-kind gig by Querbeat vs. 257ers, makes it unmistakably clear that we are determined to be just as unique with our bookings as our festival city is itself. Over the next few weeks a number of other artists will still be added for the smaller side stages”.
