About Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano.

Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano are not your usual house duo. With a long-standing background in house music, they have the knowledge of the genre and its roots at their core, and this foundation informs their eclectic sounds. Blending elements of house, tribal, techno, electro, Latin flavours and more into their productions and DJ sets, theirs is a sound which looks both to the past and to the future with plenty of groove at its heart.

Cutting their teeth on the Dutch scene, they rose to became one of the country’s most dependable and in-demand house music DJs, amassing a huge fanbase which would serve us a vital springboard for their now-burgeoning international career. The two have been friends for life, Sunnery with a more outgoing demeanour and Ryan the more reserved one. It’s a dynamic which works in perfect harmony and has ensured their long and successful working relationship.

Their first releases dropped back in 2009 on Chuckie’s Dirty Dutch Music imprint and Sneakerz Muzik, with Steve Angello and Laidback Luke picking up tracks for Size Records and Mixmash Records respectively a couple of years later. Their trajectory was clear, as their overseas bookings started to ramp up in tandem and Spinnin’ Records brought them into their roster in 2011. Regular releases on the mega-label followed, as did productions for DOORN Records and Tiësto’s Musical Freedom and a collaboration with Nicky Romero on “Sound Of The Underground”, all meeting huge acclaim.

They have built up their Sexy By Nature brand in hugely impressive fashion, with a weekly radio show broadcast around the world and on their SoundCloud channel and a growing list of stellar parties in destinations from Los Angeles to New York, Miami, Ibiza, Asia and of course Amsterdam. What’s more, in 2017 they launched their very own label, SONO MUSIC, which promises to deliver tonnes of exciting music from their own studio as well their friends.

The duo are embarking on a serious purple patch right now, with 10-15 hot tracks ready and waiting in the cannon to be released. Their long-awaited return to Armada will kick off this run of releases, with some of their most exciting music to date to be revealed. Juggling their hectic work schedule with their family duties, they are two seriously busy guys who never have a dull moment.

Regularly rocking all the world’s biggest festivals and clubs like Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnaval, Creamfields, Create Los Angeles, LIV MiamiMarquee New York, Zouk Singapore and Ushuaia Ibiza they continue to be one of the most sought-after acts in the game with a packed-out diary.
